PIPCHENKO

It was easy to see the parallels between the bugs and the latest collection of young Belorussian designer Tatiana Kuschnerovoj who works for the brand called "Pipchenko". But at first, when I found out the name of the collection I was a little bit confused. I thought it would be inspired by Tim Berton's film, but it turned out to be a spring anthem. Dresses and suits were made of cotton, eco-leather and shiffon. Designers who grab their inspiration from nature never mistaken, especially when they introduce their collection in spring (for Belorussian people it is a long-awaiting season!) and everyone is just starving for beauty, everyone miss the sun, flowers and even these tiny creatures.

TON-IN-TON

Ton-in-Ton designer, Olga Novik successed in using pure fabrics for her collection, especially jersey (I should admit that using natural materials is one of the main feature of Belorussian designers which is obviously positive). The most memorable motif of the collection of course were suits that reminded me of the period between 1st and 2nd World Wars. Short minimalistic dresses, midi-length jersey skirts- these items were an inherent part of that period. During this show I thought about the image of modern Greta Garbo. I also must say that the venue absolutely suited the collection. And everything all together: the cloth, the hair, the venue, the atmosphere has transferred us in 1930s.
